RED Epic on order & expected Q1/Q2 2011

We’re pleased to officially announce an order for multiple RED Epic Cameras (via the Stage 2 upgrade programme) and expect to have cameras available for hire in Q1/Q2 2011. These cameras will be joining our existing fleet of RED One M-X 4K cameras and will be complemented by a range of RED & third-party accessories.

With a 14 megapixel sensor, 13.5 stops of dynamic range and up to 120fps recording in full frame 5K mode, the Epic is set to become the benchmark for high-end digital cinematography – and we’ll be supporting the camera system with 100% commitment to the R3D format.
