The on-board SxS media records at a maximum of 35Mb/s, in 4:2:0 8-bit colour space. Whilst this is still extremely high quality & suitable for most applications, we can supply the Sony F3 with an external recorder should a less compressed recording with increased colour sub-sampling be required. We recommend using the F3 with an AJA Ki Pro Mini ProRes 4:2:2 external recorder to achieve a higher quality, less compressed recording. We now also offer the S-Log uncompressed 4:4:4 output/recording option for the Sony PMW-F3.
Our standard Sony PMW-F3 digital cinematography kit includes: choice of 15mm or 19mm base plate, Berkey System top cheeseplate, batteries & charger, 2 × 32GB SxS recording media, card reader, cables & standard accessories. Choose from our wide range of 35mm lenses, camera accessories & grip to use with the Sony F3. Nikon lens mounts are also available as an alternative to the standard PL mount.
